Princess Buttercup Pearl Choker
One evening I decided that my eight year old son was ready to watch my one of my favorite iconic movies growing up in the 1980s, The Princess Bride. Although my son checked out half way through the movie, I thoroughly enjoyed the film and laughed just as hard as I did so long ago and was swept away in its charm all over again. But this time, a particular scene hit me over the head. The scene where Princess Buttercup is introduced to the kingdom as Queen Buttercup by the king and she ascended into the courtyard like an angel in the most perfect princess dress ever with despair on her face, and a pearl choker. The pearl choker leaped out at me this time, I thought “ I want a Buttercup choker, If I had one, I would wear it with everything” thus the Buttercup choker obsession began. I went online immediately to try and find one for myself but didn’t find anything like it at all. So I decided maybe to have one made for me, the perfect teeth sized fresh water pearl with a luminous round pearl charm dangling from barely there yellow gold rings. A few nights later I woke up in the middle of the night and thought- “wait, I need to make a Buttercup choker for everyone “ and well, here we are.
